Ceravision's lamps and spectra provide proper UVA, UVB and blue light that can be adjusted through power, reflectance and glass filters to deliver the optimum amount of supplemental light, tailored to be crop specific. Crops grown under our lights will produce higher levels of Terpenes, essential oils and flavonoids.

Lamp Performance – 50,000 hours

The UV420 dose consists of metal halides that are completely evaporated.  This removes any potential for degradation on the inner surfaces of the capsule during operation and allows for lamp life of up to 50,000 hours. Other Plasma technologies and metal halide lamps suffer from material stress of the capsule caused through chemical reactivity of the metal halide liquid pool which is a precursor to failure and reduced life.

HPS, LEDs & Ceravision's UV420 High Energy Photon Lamps

Many studies have shown that full continuous spectrum with sunlight qualities is the best spectrum for healthy plant development.  HPS provides an efficient source of PAR, however lacks a continuous spectrum below 560nm.  LEDs are mono-chromatic and do not have a full spectrum similar to the sun, which can lead to inhibited plant growth and are also lacking in UV, essential for plant development. 

Plants grown outdoors are subjected to varying amounts of both UV-A (315 to 400 nm) and UV-B (280 to 315 nm) depending on geographical location and time of year.  There is increasing evidence indicating that UV-A and UV-B radiation influences photomorphogenic plant responses including gene regulation, flavonoid biosynthesis, leaf and epidermal cell expansion, stomatal density, and increased photosynthetic efficiency.  Exposure to UV radiation may also induce the synthesis of specific proteins involved in resistance to microbial attack. 

Ceravision’s High Energy Photon lamp has a targeted spectrum between 280 - 550 nm, which provides for the most efficient supplementary grow-light in the world today.  Ceravision's High Energy Photon lamps can be used in combination with HPS and LED lamps in a very efficient way.
